FAQS

How do I know that my windows need to be replaced?

There are many signs that a window has failed, even if it isn’t obvious just by glancing at it. Our window experts will do an inspection on each of the windows to help determine which of the windows have failed and why. Whether that be seal failure, warping, cracking, etc.

Is there a difference between custom windows and contractor windows?

Yes definitely. Custom high-performance windows are designed to last a lifetime, rather than just the first 5-10 years of a newly built home.

Why should I replace the whole window instead of just the glass?

Replacing the glass is really just a band aid. Vast majority of the time the reason there’s failure in the glass component of the window is because the frame, whether a contractor vinyl or an older aluminum, is negatively affecting the glass and its ability to seal properly. Without replacing the entire window unit you’re just delaying the inevitable and waiting for the same issue to occur again.

What kind of energy savings come with new windows?

This can really depend on the time of year, severity of the weather, and how inefficient the original windows were. We typically see savings range anywhere from 20% all the way to 50% during some of the intense weather months.
